Drive Away in Your 100% Electric Vehicle Today!

Wantagh Mitsubishi has what the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy calls “the greenest vehicle of 2012.”  The I-MiEV is an electric vehicle rated at 112 miles per gallon. It is designed for the average business commute and runs on an average of 62 miles per charge, which is more than enough for the typical commuter.

2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV NYThe efficient battery design provides stability and safety for up to eight years or 100,000 miles. After an in-house electrical inspection, your I-MiEV can be charged in three different ways. The standard cable provides a full charge after 22.5 hours while the EVSE home dock fully charges after seven hours. Also, public quick charger ports provide an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

Despite the compact size the I-MiEV is equipped with an advanced airbag system, active stability control, acoustic vehicle alert system and an antilock break system. What makes the I-MiEV as energy efficient and unique as it is, is the three drive modes. First there is the standard drive mode, followed by the eco-mode for optimal efficiency. Finally there is the B-mode for conditions that benefit the regenerative brakes. This break system takes in kinetic energy as you decelerate which then converts into energy used to charge the battery.

Saving money on gas is a substantial benefit of purchasing an I-MiEV, but it is not the only benefit. The I-MiEV requires less maintenance than gas fueled vehicles as well as state made perks. Some states provide advantages of having an electric vehicle such as, federal tax credit, rebates, tax incentives, parking permits, HOV access and more.

With the Mitsubishi I-MiEV not only are you saving money, you are saving the environment by producing zero emissions. For further information, visit Wantagh Mitsubishi on our website. http://www.wantaghmitsu.com/MiEV.aspx
