Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors North America, announced the company plans to bring new life to vehicles with exterior enhancements, additional powertrain options and a possible new mid-sized sedan. Mitsubishi Motors is negotiating with Renault SA, a French vehicle manufacturer, to source a new Renault-based mid-sized sedan to be sold in the United States under the Mitsubishi brand name.
