Mitsubishi Reveals Future Product

Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors North America, announced the company plans to bring new life to vehicles with exterior enhancements, additional powertrain options and a possible new mid-sized sedan. 

Mitsubishi Motors is negotiating with Renault SA, a French vehicle manufacturer, to source a new Renault-based mid-sized sedan to be sold in the United States under the Mitsubishi brand name.  There is no word on when the vehicle is expected to be released, but project development is said to be moving quickly.  To learn the full story behind the new Mitsubishi vehicle, click here.

Safe Winter Driving Tips

The latest winter snow storm hit Long Island hard.  The best advice we can give you is to stay inside and off the roads.  If there is no way you can avoid driving today, check out some of these important safety tips to remember:

1. Drive slowly. 
2. Leave plenty of room between your vehicle and the car in front of you.  In the event of stopping short, this will prevent you from hitting the other car.
3. Brake gently to avoid skidding.
4. Turn on your lights, even in the day time.
5. Keep your windshield clean.  Road salt and residue is kicked up and accumulates on windshields, preventing you from seeing clearly. 
6. Use low gears to keep traction.
7. Don't use cruise control.
8. Bridges usually freeze first, so be extra careful when crossing one.
9. Don't pass snow plows or sand trucks.  They have poor visibility and this may cause an accident.
10. Do not stop on an incline or hill.
