Who’s up for a Throwback Thursday?
Have you ever see the
movie Crush? The Mitsubishi Lancer (A70) was the car featured in the film. Crush, the 1992 New Zealand drama film, was directed by Alison Maclean. It was entered into the 1992 Cannes Film Festival.
The movie depicts the journey of two girls, Lane and Christine. On the way to interview a novelist, the girls are involved in a car crash leaving literary critic Christina brain-damaged. Lane continues to complete the assignment and finds herself attracted to the novelist's daughter, thus beginning an emotional story.
The Mitsubishi Lancer (A70) first debuted in February 1973. The sporty 1600 GSR model ignited the Lancer's successful run. The car was offered in three body styles: two or four door saloons, and a five-door estate version. Fun fact: the Lancer had the smallest engine that eventually got replaced by a 1.2 litre four.
